The Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum takes place in Bonn's new World Conference Center. The former assembly hall for the German government and the waterworks building serve as the core of the current conference center. Plans are in place for the facility to be extended by mid-2009.

The World Conference Center is located in what was the seat of the German government while Bonn was the capital city. It is a unique experience to attend a conference where Germany's parliamentarians used to carry out their debates and vote on legislation. Deutsche Welle, the United Nations Campus, the Post Tower and the Rhine River are all nearby.

Due to their close proximity to each other, the former assembly hall, the waterworks building and the planned extension create an ideal venue for large events, exhibits and concerts.
