Beethoven´s birthplace and historical "Em Höttche" restaurant



One of the most famous people to hail from Bonn is German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven. His birthplace in the city center has become an important attraction for visitors from all over the world. It is the city's top address for visiting music lovers.

The museum accommodated in this house where Beethoven was born in 1770 now contains the largest Beethoven collection in the world. His life and works come alive in the impressive authentic documents on show.

The guided tour lasts approx. one hour. Afterwards the guests can enjoy the end of the day with a typical Rhenish snack in a pleasant atmosphere at the historical "Em Höttche" restaurant. Dinner is included in the price. Guests are requested to pay for their own drinks.

Program

5.00 p.m.    Meeting in front of the old town hall in the city center
                   "Altes Rathaus/Marktplatz", walk to Beethoven's birthplace.

5.15 p.m.    Start of the guided tour (in English) at Beethoven's birthplace,
                   duration approx. one hour.

6.15 p.m.    Walk to the historical restaurant "Em Höttche", a typical Rhenish snack
                   will be served. Participants are asked to pay for their own
                   drinks.

Price per person: 15.00 Euro incl. 19 % VAT 
In case the minimum number of participants for this event of 25 persons is not reached, the organiser reserves the right to cancel the event and will reimburse any paid fees.
 
Registration
Only registered participants of the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum 2009 or their accompanying person are able to take part to the optional program. Please, register yourselves as a participant or use your personal account to make a reservation of the optional program.

Registration for the optional programs closes 15 May 2009. Because space is limited, early registration is recommended.
